Foodland’s Maika’i programme was the first supermarket loyalty programme in Hawai’i when it began in 1995. We’ve appreciated getting special automatic discounts on things every time we entered our phone number since then, and even more so those My Rewards voucher freebies. Those My Rewards vouchers will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to Foodland’s redesigned programme, which started May 9. You shouldn’t be sad because the new Maika’i programme rewards buyers more generously. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
How to Take the Maika’i Membership?
To take advantage of Foodland’s new programme and redeem new incentives, you’ll need to re-enrol. To begin, locate your Maika’i member number, which can be found on your Foodland receipt or an old Maika’i keychain tag.
Fill up your details at maikai.foodland.com once you receive your member number. Re-enrol as soon as possible because if you do so by July 31, you’ll receive a $5 Foodland gift card or 200 HawaiianMiles instantly! If you have any problems re-enrolling, please phone (808) 735-7229 or submit an email to the Maika’i department. Foodland is devoted to delivering Maika’i service to its customers, but owing to high demand, please allow the Maika’i department additional time to respond.
Rewards
Every dollar you spend will still get you one point. Instead of receiving a reward certificate every time you reach 250 points, Foodland’s new survey allows you to cash in faster and choose from a broader range of incentives. The first 100 points earned are redeemable for a free Maika’i brand product of the month. Foodland gift cards, HawaiianMiles, a grocery discount, or free delivery are other benefits. The best part is that you have complete control over when and how you use your hard-earned points!

Here’s a huge one: the Maika’i programme is no longer reliant on paper! Redeem your Maika’i points for incentives at any moment throughout the checkout process. Your Maika’i point balance can also be shared with your cashier, and it is also printed on your receipt. Use the free Foodland app for iOS or Android to keep track of your points. Do you have a stack of printed coupons at home? Don’t worry; you have until June 30 to redeem them. Even expired certificates (within two years of expiration) can be saved, but only one expired certificate per day will be accepted.
